Google is only pushing technology that already exists for years but somehow without them pushing it does not find its way to consumers. It's the same with HTML5 (Chrome/ChromeFrame) and lots of other stuff.
I'm utterly surprised that big TV brands like Sony are now shipping with Google TV instead of having created their own internet TV platform. They're just handing Google another huge market on a golden platter. Truely amazing..

@dragster178 Yes, and ofcourse it's far more useful to have a big, noisy desktop whizzing loudly consuming 250 Watts of energy while you're showing a Youtube flick on TV. And that's only after booting up for over 1 minute, opening the webbrowser while Windows is downloading and installing it's dozen updates - ofcourse you'll be thrown off your video to answer "YES I KNOW FOR F-ING SURE I WANT TO INSTALL YOUR UPDATES!" which involves running to and from your keyboard/mouse laying on the floor..

I do hope that some brand has the opportunity to make a remote control with qwerty.
Just look at the examples (nokia cellphone)

Better than paying cable companies or satellite companies any money. Its not like anything is on TV anyways. All the TV shows now suck have no need for cable. This is a great alternative to Cumcast.

This is useless...Just connect your computer to your tv...

@STOPBlTCHlNG Both Google and Apple made our lives easier, at least they got us out of the Windows Mobile junk.
